The Liner Trade Awards are to be judged on the basis of
Customer Service which is defined as a combination of
Customer Satisfaction and Schedule Reliability. The essential
criteria for customer satisfaction is a combination of IT/communication capabilities, availability of equipment, cargo
tracking capabilities, responding to customer complaints,
procedures to deal with agencies such as Customs and
AQIS and testimonials from customers
6: Environmental Transport Award
(formerly Green Transport)
The award may be given for practical examples of initiatives which
environmentally enhance operating procedures; for management
and monitoring systems which measure targets in environmental
goals or for general environmental initiatives either in the
community or with other industry stakeholders.

7: Safe Transport Award Sponsored by Rightship

This award will be made to the company responsible for
introducing effective safety measures producing demonstrable
improvements in occupational health and safety or risk reduction.
This may involve either the movement of freight or by any mode
carrying freight.

8: Freight Forwarder of the Year Award
This award is for companies displaying excellence in freight
forwarding, in terms of service and efficiency in sea, air, road
or rail freight.

9: Project Cargo Award
This new award recognizes achievements in the transportation
of Project Cargoes as either a representative or individual of a
Shipping Line / Vessel Operator / Cargo Broker / or Facilitator
of project or break bulk cargoes, using high levels of expertise
and service, in an on-time fashion combined with innovative safe
working practices all being a consideration.
10: Seafarers Welfare Award Sponsored
by Australian Maritime Safety Authority

A special award to a company, organisation or individual deemed to
have made an outstanding contribution to the welfare of seafarers.

11: Maritime Services Award Sponsored
by Australian Amalgamated Terminals
For exceptional achievement or contribution to any service sector
of the Australian maritime industry by a company, individual or
organisation. Open to agents, brokers, classification societies, legal
practitioners, finance providers, telecommunications or IT suppliers,
security services, training and education companies or institutions.

12: Transport and Logistics Intermodal Award
An award for achievement in the efficient movement of freight,
using high levels of integration between different modes of
transport. The award can go to an individual shipping line or freight
forwarder for a common user intermodal service, or for a transport
solution which they have customised for a particular user or cargo.
The award could also be made to a dedicated intermodal facility
or for a specific piece of technology.
